Support 6-Day Mail Delivery
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is proposing to reduce days of mail delivery from the statutorily-mandated 6 days to only 5 days a week. Mail delivery is not only a vital part of the national economy, but also provides the timely delivery of needed goods and services to all segments of society. If accepted by Congress, 5-day delivery would begin a "death spiral", with the Postal Service reducing services each time they are faced with economic uncertainty, until universal service to the American people is ultimately threatened. Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO) has introduced H RES 173, "Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the United States Postal Service should take all appropriate measures to ensure the continuation of its 6-day mail delivery service." Please contact your Representative and urge them to cosponsor H RES 173.
